009: Sophie Garth

In this long-postponed penultimate episode, I step into uncharted territory as the host of this podcast.

It feels like a significant milestone for me as I finally gather the courage to share my personal story with all of you. When my late partner and I embarked on this podcast adventure, we never anticipated what the future had in store. His sudden departure left an irreplaceable void, and it has taken time for me to find the strength to open up and share the journey that has brought me here.

Join me for an intimate peek into my life, from the early days of being a young mum in a new city to navigating the delicate balance of work and motherhood in an ever-evolving industry. I'll candidly discuss the real-life challenges, the invaluable lessons I've learned, and the profound impact that finding a supportive community had on shaping my career.

This episode is not about me positioning myself as an industry leader or claiming to have all the answers; it's about celebrating the messy beauty of every personal journey. By embracing my vulnerability, I hope I remind you that we're all in the same waka.

As we draw closer to the season finale, I have an exciting announcement in store for you. So be sure to stick around until the end, where I'll unveil the first of (hopefully!) many exciting makeup community building events. It's an opportunity for us to come together, share our passion, and forge connections that will extend far beyond this podcast.

Join me on this introspective journey, as I extend an invitation for you to be a part of something greater.
